No Permission to shoot Ram Gopal Varma film at CST

10:36 AM

RGV’s latest DEPARTMENT failed to make any mark at the box office and instead the film receivedstark criticism from the junta and the critics alike. Well, as usual, it doesn't faze the director Ram Gopal Varma even a bit. He is infact already all ready towork on his next film which is based on the Mumbai terrorist attacks 26/11.This might turn out to be the most controversial film by him till date.

Well, the filmmaker was at CST (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus) wanting to get permissions to shootsome scenes depicting the attacks of 26/11. Two days back, in the afternoon, RGVwent, along with his team, to meet the railway officials from the publicrelations department. He was, however, denied the permission by the CentralRailway (CR) authorities and was asked to approach the Railway Board in Delhi.

It was right after the26/11 train attacks that RGV had courted controversy when he visited theterror-ravaged Taj Mahal hotel after the terror strike, with the then ChiefMinister Vilas Rao Deshmukh and his son Riteish Deshmukh. Apparently, the reason behind CR denying Ramu the permission to shoot is that the management wants to refrain from gory images as the incident stillholds sad memories for the nation.
