Rye Rye Movie Review

Rating : 2/5

Story: Sinu (Srinivas) is a good for nothing village bum who's miffed everyone in town. He falls in love with Lakshmi (Aksha), a good- natured daughter of the village henchman. Her dad learns about their love and is furious. He connives to nip their romance in the bud. Movie Review: Director Sudheer Raju pens the story of a young man with mind of his own. Though it's a run-of-the-mill script, it is peppered with the required commercial ingredients that will appease the front benches. It is a little too formulaic and feels like a mishmash of a lot of hit films. It's a case of old wine served in a not-so-new-bottle.

The interval-bang where Sreenu's friends back stab him is the best part of the movie but the second half turns out to be a little too predictable. The direction is okay in parts and lacks freshness. The film runs on a beaten track of love and friendship and there's hardly anything that really grabs eyeballs. Everyone in the audience would want to do just about everything like the hero but director Sudheer has take too many creative liberties with the script and peppered it with some chirpy yet vulgar dialogues and romantic scenes. The re-recording and music falls flat, and the songs are a little too drab.

It's difficult to see an actor like Sreenu with his dimunitive frame, thrash guys double his size? Nonetheless, the actor has given an energetic performance throughout the film. He shows maturity in his performance and is improving film after film. Aksha has filled the glam quotient. She looks good and has given a nice performance as lover. She has tried to show her oomph and sex appeal during a couple of songs but she probably needs to watch her weight.
